Re: Important Dates
This year we will be adding an NA spot. This spot can be used in place of one of your over 1.55m spots (can only have 1 in the minors of this space is occupied ) but allows you to not have to lose a player on waivers and keep an active roster if a player goes on parental leave, bereavement, assistance program, minors stint, etc. As seen with Seattle last year (Petersen/Nedelkovic), this will allow for more flexibility for causes beyond our control.
The NA player going down will be waiver exempt. If you call up a player to replace him, if that player is over 1.55m they will not be waiver exempt going back down (as per usual rules). The player that was on NA can take his roster spot, and a move will have to be made to accommodate. You will then be able to carry two +1.55m players in your minors once again (either sign or attempt to pass a player through waivers to go down).
