FA limit poll

I figured I would get ahead on some polls for topics we talked about over the off season. Much easier to get the votes while everyone is checking in consistently.

We will come up with a number for the limit if the poll gets a yes vote overall.

As we spoked earlier, this total would not be related to the 5 moves limits per weeks we have, right?

I personaly thinks that too many FA signings per weeks waters down the necessity of building ourselves a good depth in our minor system.

My suggestion for a limit would be less so of a signing limit for the season and more of a time limit for players. So rather than limiting how many, all FA signings would need to be rostered for a minimum of 7 days from the day of signing (barring injury). That way GMs would make far less signings because players can't rotate daily.

I am proposing 1 or 2 Free agent signing per weeks during the season and no limit during offseason. The 12 hours rule would still stands though.

I dont think a time limit could work. It would be complicated to follow who is replacing an injured guy or not. Also it would means that the only way to keep guys long term would be by trading or drafting. So basically all the guys not assign to a team right now could only be rentals. I am not a fan of this idea imho, would still accept it if it what everyone would like...

So with an 8-5 split in favour of having a limit, this season we will impose a Free Agent signing limit per week.

This will be capped off at 3 free agent signings per week.
