With the #1 waiver priority, Montreal will win the claim on Wayne Simmonds.
Due to circumstances surrounding this claim and after review and discussion, Wayne Simmonds' rights will be awarded to Montreal and will come with the following stipulations.
Wayne Simmonds must remain on the Canadiens 25 man NHL roster throughout the entire 2019-2020 season.
He is unable to be traded, sent to the minors (demoted in the offseason or waived in season). Also he is unable to be dropped for any reason. If injured he may move to IR/IR+ but when healthy he, and his salary, count against the Montreal Canadiens 25 man active NHL roster.
If for any reason these stipulations are not adhered to, strict penalties will be enforced.
