Congratulations to Ben, finally bringing the Ottawa Senators their first league championship after some recent great performances the past handful of seasons. The Sens were strong throughout the entire season, and were able to keep that momentum up throughout the playoffs. The grind of the last week didn't end up wearing the team down.
Congratulations to the Jets on a great season and second place win. After some retooling, that franchises is set up for success moving forward.
Rounding out the Canadian based top 3, the Maple Leafs dealt with some key injury woes before and throughout the playoffs, but still managed to pull away with the 3rd place win.
Florida and Utah were also strong contenders in the mix during this year's playoff run.
The Sens team will be graced with their first championship trophy, banner under the team page and of course, the prestigious golden colouring of the team throughout next season!
Great season to all!
Next up will be some down time to enjoy the NHL playoffs, then the draft lottery taking place where we will find out where the bottom 8 teams in our league will end up. In a possible first, all 8 teams currently own their own picks, and will matchup with the bottom 8 teams accordingly.
