What I meant is Yahoo decided that PIMs are stupid and changed it to hits as their standard category in public leagues. Fine, if everyone is against +/-, I would still recommend getting rid of PIMs. In order to balance out the categories, we could consider dropping Saves as a category. It really benefits volume of starters rather than quality.
I'm on board with dropping saves! It's a category where the player has zero say in the matter.

And re: PIM's - if we remove it then we should be removing hits as well because both categories are accumulated by the same ilk of player. Idk, just a thought. If we don't value one why do we value the other? Personally I was against hits last season because I don't think the counting is consistent across the league and it can be quite arbitrary. But we have it now so I digress.
however if we're voting on removing PIM's I will vote against removal. I suppose the feeling was its a category we can fill with cheaper players to balance out our lineups.

I should clarify my thoughts on saves lol

Goalies can obviously have a say whether or not they stop shots from going in lol

But I meant to refer to the fact that they don't have a say in the volume of shots against. And further to Rags' point, it tips the balance of power to those who have the most amount of goalies/starts.

Goalie saves is a stupid category.

Let's remove it next year.
